Malacca Trip 2009

So, about our trip last Saturday...

All I could say was:

It's our first trip for our 09/10 session

A 1 day trip to the historious city in our country
-----

Only Opened for TARCIANs from Sabah and Sarawak
-----

all and all we have 43 students joining our trip

but in the end 5 of them put us aeroplane.

Our bus left hostel at around 7 something in the morning
Reached at 9 something....

Well, almost all of them...

And our 1st station is Famosa Chicken Rice Ball Restaurant

"Kita makan banyak banyak dekat sana,

Food that we had in the restaurant:

famous chicken rice ball
steamed chicken
roasted chicken
roasted pork
taugeh(Bean Sprout)
and lain-lain lagi...

Because Malacca was sibeh small,

most of our visiting places are near to each other

and all we need is just walk walk walk

This is what we call bangunan merah or red building in Malacca,
Welly-known because it appears almost every year in our
sejarah text book during secondary school years.

Our second destination,

the A Famosa
a.k.a "The Famous" in Portuguese
is a left-over fortress in the centre of Melacca.
-
Once built by Alfonso de Albuquerque (Alfonso de Anggukuih)

Once upon a time,

Our vice-chairman,

YB Dato' seri Chiong Chung Liang

got his christian name...

And it's HUBERT!!!

-

So the story goes like this....

There's a Dutch graveyard just beside the fortress

And we found one of the graves marked Hubert who died exactly

on the day as Liang was born (only the year was different).

So we concluded that that was Liang's pass life...

Next stop,

Pahlawan Mall...

One of the modern buildings found in the centre of Malacca

We had lunch there

Some went for shopping

One got lost in time (Mr. Iphone)

This is the Istana Kesultanan Melaka

Once was the residence for the sultan of Malacca

Now turned into a museum

The interior of the building

Displaying the royal throne and his ministers

The story of Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat

and also the story of Tun Perak

Took a round with the 'Eye On Malaysia'

Previously it was located in lake garden in Titiwangsa.
Now shifted to Malacca..


Good experience though
Recommended to have a ride on it if u never had before...

By evening, we went to Jonker Street.
A Malacca version of 'Petaling Street'.
only it is longer and friendlier compared to Petaling Street.

No pictures were taken because all of us were busy buying stuff and its too crowded.

it was a successful trip.
